Hanayoshino Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, measuring 7,018 yards from the back tees. The layout was designed by Yasushi Kai of Dainippon Civil Engineering Co., Ltd., with construction carried out by a consortium including Dainippon Civil Engineering, Shimizu Construction, Muramoto Construction, and Nakadori Development. The course features a single bent grass green and is divided into two distinct nine-hole sections. The out course spans 3,603 yards and is planted with different flower themes for each hole, while the in course covers 3,415 yards and offers sweeping views of mountain ridges across its fairways. The course is characterized by a contrast between the two nines. The in course is notably flat, allowing for straightforward play, whereas the out course presents more undulation and strategic complexity. Hole 4, a par-3 from the back tees at 166 yards, plays as a downhill shot onto one of the course's most difficult greens. Hole 7, a 228-yard par-3, features a distinctive gourd-shaped green situated over Poyo Pond. The ninth hole is a 595-yard par-5 that includes the "Ayako Tee," a forward tee position that creates a dramatic valley-crossing challenge. Hole 5, a 440-yard par-4, begins with a 33-meter downhill tee shot. The course was supervised by Japanese golf champion Ayako Okamoto and joined both the Kansai Golf Union and the Japan Golf Association on September 29, 1997. Practice facilities include a 200-yard driving range with 15 bays, as well as approach and bunker practice areas. The course is equipped with air-conditioned carts at no additional charge.
