Cypre Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course located in Gobo, Gojo City, Nara Prefecture, Japan. Designed by Kazumi Miura and constructed by Yamato Danchi Co., Ltd., the course opened on May 17, 1992, and spans approximately 1.24 million square meters. The layout is divided into an out course and an in course, both featuring a mix of par-4s, par-5s, and par-3s. The regular tee yardage totals 6,432 yards (3,187 yards out and 3,245 yards in), with back tees extending to 6,802 yards. The greens are maintained with a Bentgrass/Penncross mix. The course is characterized by significant elevation changes and strategic hazards. The front nine is described as dynamic and strategy-rich, while the back nine is noted for its elegance and continuous challenge. Key holes include the par-4 18th hole, designated as a signature "famous hole" (名物ホール). This long par-4 features a slight dogleg right and is guarded by a water hazard over 150 yards long along the right side, leading to a difficult three-tiered green. The 11th hole, a par-3, requires a tee shot over a valley to a two-tiered green with strong undulations. The 8th hole, a par-3, is a carry-over-water hole where the out-of-bounds zone on the left is shallower than it appears. Cypre Country Club offers a range of facilities including a three-story lobby with a waterfall feature, a restaurant, and six competition rooms. The club features a driving range with 16 bays and a 200-yard depth, as well as approach and bunker practice areas. The facility includes a sauna, jet baths, and a garden-view bath. The course enforces a dress code requiring jackets and prohibits metal spikes. Local rules specify that out-of-bounds is marked by white stakes, and penalty areas are marked by red stakes or lines. The course is part of the Daiwa Royal Golf network.
