Hamano Golf Club is a 7,217-yard championship course designed by the renowned architect Seiichi Inoue. The 18-hole layout is divided into an Out Course and an In Course, featuring a variety of hole lengths and par 4s that demand strategic play. The course is characterized by its wide fairways, which often exceed 50 meters in width, allowing for bold tee shots, though precision is required to avoid hazards. The first hole serves as a signature opening, presenting a wide, flat par 4 that offers a clear view of the green from the tee. It is designed to reward powerful hitters who can utilize the subtle undulations around the 250-yard mark to set up advantageous second shots. In contrast, the third hole is a par 4 that tests both power and finesse, featuring a fairway that slopes gently to the left and a green surrounded by six bunkers, requiring accurate distance control and delicate approach shots. Hole five provides a notable change in terrain with a dramatic 7-meter downhill par 3. This hole stands out for its scale and the strategic challenge of judging distance from the elevated tee, where six bunkers guard the green and cherry trees line the back.
