Hawk's Tail of Greenfield was opened in 1927 as the Greenfield Country Club, initially as a 9-hole course until the mid-1970s when it was expanded to a full 18 holes. The 18-hole course features 6,770 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.2 with a slope rating of 119. The course has bluegrass greens. The club was sold in 2009 and renamed to Hawk's Tail, and under new ownership since 2019, the course offers a classic layout with excellent conditions and a smooth pace of play. The facility is a public golf course open to all players and abilities. Hawk's Tail of Greenfield Golf Club has an onsite driving range with 6 practice tees. Located east of Indianapolis in Hancock County, the course presents a fair and classic design that accommodates golfers of varying skill levels.
