Green Lea Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 course located on the north side of Albert Lea, Minnesota. Established in 1949 as a 9-hole layout, it expanded to a full 18-hole course in 1965. The course features mature trees lining well-manicured fairways in a scenic setting. While not exceptionally long by modern standards, Green Lea presents a balanced challenge through strategic use of sand bunkers, water hazards, and several risk-reward holes suitable for golfers of varying skill levels. The course is home to "The Shortstop," one of Minnesota's longest-running match play tournaments. Beyond golf, the facility offers a clubhouse available for events, receptions, and banquets, making it a community focal point. Green Lea has maintained its reputation as a premier regional golf destination for over 70 years, serving both casual players and members seeking quality golf and amenities.
