South Lakes Golf Club is located in Goolwa, where the River Murray meets the Southern Ocean on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Established in 1966, the club has evolved into South Australia's largest regional golf establishment, pioneering the integration of a holiday-residential community with a championship golf course. The course comprises 18 holes with a total par of 70 and measures 5,773 metres with an Australian course rating of 70. The course features Santa Anna Couch fairways and Bent grass greens, set across gently undulating terrain. The design accommodates golfers of all ages and skill levels, with a relatively flat terrain making the course a pleasant walk while listening to waves in the background. Though not long, the course still challenges low handicappers as accuracy is the priority, particularly on approach shots to the greens.
