Golfplatz Schloss Langenstein is an 18-hole championship course located in the Hegau region near Lake Constance, close to the Swiss border. Designed by Rod Whitman and opened in 1991, the course was completed in 1993 and is situated in a rock valley beneath the Langenstein castle. The layout takes advantage of the natural terrain, offering views of the Alps and integrating with the surrounding landscape of former agricultural land. The course is known for its generous and strongly undulating greens, which are considered among the most demanding in Germany, providing a fair but sporty challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The property spans 110 hectares and features an artificial lake and ponds that serve as habitats for diverse flora and fauna, including 53 bird species. The course has hosted various German Championships and EPD Tour events. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, the facility includes a public 9-hole short course that is accessible without a course handicap certificate, as well as driving ranges and a pro shop offering club fitting and swing analysis. The club has received a Gold certificate for its commitment to biodiversity and nature conservation.
