Founded in 1989, Golfclub Owingen-Überlingen e.V. is situated on a historic estate (Hofgut) near Lake Constance, offering panoramic views across the Bodensee toward the Alps. The championship course is built around the traditional farmstead, creating a distinctive setting that combines sporting challenge with scenic beauty.

The course is recognized for its exceptional condition and design quality. In 2024, the club joined Leading Golf Clubs of Germany, reflecting its commitment to maintaining high standards in course presentation, service, and overall experience. The club hosts significant tournaments, including the VCG Bodensee Open, a professional event featuring 156 international junior professionals competing for PGA ranking points and prize money. The facility also accommodates member tournaments and guest play, complemented by guest accommodations on the grounds.
