Located in Sundern within the Hochsauerland region, the Golfplatz Amecke facility features two distinct playing surfaces: a 9-hole course and a 6-hole short course. The 9-hole layout spans approximately 4,300 meters with a total par of 64. The course is situated in a valley directly alongside the Sorpe stream, with the historic Haus Amecke castle anchoring one end of the property and a historic mill at the other. The terrain is characterized by a mix of topographical challenges; the first two holes traverse uneven ground, while holes three through nine are played on level terrain adjacent to the Sorpe stream and its tributaries, which flow from the nearby Sorpeseesee. The course design incorporates significant water hazards, requiring players to navigate around ponds and streams that cross the fairways. The facility is equipped with a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and practice bunkers. The 9-hole course is designed to offer challenges for all skill levels, featuring excellent green surfaces that demand tactical play. The layout allows for a quick round, making it suitable for play between other commitments or for those seeking a shorter game. Complementing the main course is a 6-hole short course located directly next to the castle. This layout is designed specifically for short-game training, with distances ranging between 30 and 80 meters. The 6-hole course includes water hazards and bunkers, and its greens receive the same maintenance standards as the 9-hole course. Golf carts are permitted on the premises, and the facility operates with seasonal fee structures for both the 9-hole and 6-hole courses. The course is managed by Golf am Haus Amecke GmbH & Co. KG and is integrated with an on-site gastronomy venue, the M2 Bistro, which offers breakfast and event hosting. The facility caters to members, greenfee guests, and those participating in introductory golf lessons.
