Golfclub Sauerland e.V.

Golfclub Sauerland e.V., founded in 1958, is a 9-hole parkland course located near Arnsberg in the Sauerland region, set within a castle park landscape surrounded by lush green hills. The course was designed by Dr. Bernhard von Limburger and features gently undulating fairways, mature oak trees, and scenic ponds that create a picturesque setting. The layout presents subtle challenges that reveal themselves during play, with the tenth hole (hole 16) added in the triangle between holes 6, 7, and 8 to enhance the overall design. Originally conceived with potential for 18-hole expansion, these plans were abandoned in 2005, and the existing layout was subsequently redefined. The course maintains excellent conditions and is complemented by a comfortable clubhouse with a large terrace offering views of the surrounding landscape. Golfclub Sauerland hosts regular tournaments, including league competitions and seniors' events, and operates with a professional golf school offering instruction for players of all levels.
