Golf Club Lana ☆ Follow

Golf Club Lana is a nine-hole course located in Lana, South Tyrol, situated below the ruins of the Brandis castle. The course was designed by British golf course architect Michael Pinner, known for his work with Jack Nicklaus Golfdesign, with the general construction plan by Enrico Lee. It opened on August 29, 1998, with an opening tournament. The layout is set within a natural context of fruit orchards, offering views of the Adige valley and benefiting from a Mediterranean climate within the Alps. The course features 27 holes in total, created by playing the nine holes twice. The nine-hole loop measures 2,793 meters from the white tees with a par of 35, or 5,774 meters for the full 18-hole round. The configuration includes three par-3 holes, four par-4 holes, and two par-5 holes. The scorecard provides yardages for four sets of tees: white, yellow, blue, and red, allowing for varying difficulty levels. The longest hole is the par-5 9th and 18th, measuring 478 meters from the white tees, while the par-4 7th and 16th holes are rated as the most difficult at stroke index 1 and 2. The terrain is described as mildly undulated with easy walking conditions. The course is designed to test tee shots and reward accurate approach shots to its greens. It is situated close to Bolzano Airport and the motorway, providing convenient access for golfers. The club also offers a driving range and a pro-shop, alongside a golf school providing lessons.
