Golfclub Gerhelm, Nürnberger Land e.V. is an 18-hole golf course located in Velden in the Nürnberger Land district, situated within a protected landscape area. The course was carefully integrated into existing natural surroundings by the Schlierf family, preserving mature tree stock and creating an aesthetically distinguished layout. Numerous hills, rock outcrops, and dramatic elevation changes with long-running fairways provide constantly shifting perspectives and characterful playing conditions. The course features a driving range with floodlighting and practice facilities including a putting green. As the first and only 18-hole facility in Nürnberger Land county, Gerhelm has developed into one of the most appealing and idyllic courses in the region. The setting emphasizes accessible golf without pretension, allowing players to experience Franconian nature while enjoying the sport. Recent recognition includes selection in the guide "111 Golfplätze, die man gespielt haben muss" and the Golf Post Community Award 2023, reflecting its established reputation among regional courses.
