Golf and Country Club Schmitzhof e.V. is an 18-hole championship course located in Wegberg-Merbeck, near the Dutch border in the Maas-Schwalm-Nette nature reserve on the left bank of the Rhine. The course is characterized by fast greens, fair layouts, and varied hazards suitable for golfers of all skill levels. The club also operates a public 6-hole short course designed for beginners and those without handicap certification seeking a relaxed golfing experience.

The facility features multiple ponds and tree-lined fairways throughout the championship layout. A driving range and practice facilities are available.
