Golf Île d'Or ☆ Follow

Located on an island in the Loire River within the commune of Le Cellier, Golf Île d'Or is situated near Nantes in the Loire-Atlantique department. The course was created in 1988 and designed by Michel Gayon. It occupies a unique setting on one of the islands of the Loire, accessible via a wooden bridge from La Varenne, and features centenary ash trees within its landscape. The facility offers two distinct layouts on sandy terrain that is playable year-round. The main course consists of 18 holes with a par of 72, measuring 6,292 meters in length. Additionally, the club provides a compact 9-hole course with a par of 27, spanning 1,217 meters. An extensive practice area is available for players to refine their game. The club hosts regular competitions, including the Lions Club championship and the Eurogolf summer challenge. It also supports various team structures for men, women, seniors, and youth categories, alongside activities such as footgolf. The course is managed by an association that organizes events and provides golf instruction through its school.
