The Golf du Mont d'Arbois is an 18-hole mountain course located above the village of Megève at an average altitude of 1,320 meters, making it the oldest mountain golf course in the region. Originally initiated by Noémie de Rothschild in the 1920s as part of a family vacation destination, the course was redesigned by professional golfer Henry Cotton. The par 72 layout features gentle slopes with regular elevation changes that allow players to execute powerful swings while enjoying exceptional panoramic views spanning from Mont Joly to the Aravis mountain range.
The course is maintained like a French garden and seamlessly blends into the alpine landscape. Since 2010, the course has implemented ecological practices, including pesticide and herbicide-free management of the greens, promoting biodiversity and soil health. The natural terrain and preserved flora and fauna create a distinctive mountain golfing environment that respects the surrounding landscape.
