Golf Club Madonna di Campiglio at Campo Carlo Magno is a historic 9-hole course located in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park near Madonna di Campiglio in the Trentino region of Italy. Established in 1921 and designed by legendary golfer Henry Cotton, it was the third golf course affiliated with the Italian Golf Federation (1923) and Europe's first course at high altitude. The course offers panoramic views of the UNESCO-recognized Brenta Dolomites, providing exceptional scenery throughout play. The original nine-hole layout has been preserved with modifications including the addition of dual tees to enhance playability. Its mountain setting at elevation creates a distinctive challenge, with the natural alpine terrain and altitude contributing to the course's character. The course remains an important piece of Italian golf history, representing early European golf development in a stunning mountain environment.
