Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run is a Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 7,014 yards. Created on fairly flat terrain with little natural mounding, the Nicklaus design team relied primarily on ponds, marsh, and forest to create a challenging yet fair test of golf. This 1993 Nicklaus Design project was headed by lead architect Bruce Borland and is known for its great value.

The course routing weaves through an upscale residential community and lowcountry forest, with majestic live oaks, cypress, and pine woodlands making a larger impression than the surrounding homes. Golden Bear rewards accuracy over power, featuring tight fairways and numerous doglegs, with overhanging live oak limbs threatening to obscure approach shots. One of the most memorable holes is the dogleg-left 11th, with water to the left of the green. Five sets of tee markers plus a combo option allow players to choose distances between 4,974 and 7,014 yards, with a short course option at 2,949 yards available.
