Tsukasa Royal Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Tamana, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. The layout offers a total distance of 6,834 yards from the main tees, with yardages varying across four sets of tees: gold, back, regular, and ladies. The course is situated in a hilly environment that provides expansive views of the Aso mountain range, particularly from the elevated tees on the front nine. The front nine presents a mix of long par-5s and strategic par-4s. The opening hole is a 478-yard par-5 that plays as a downhill dogleg left, offering scenic views of the Aso mountains on the second and third shots. The 6th hole, a 158-yard par-3, features a water hazard where waterfowl are often seen, while the 9th hole begins the back nine with a wide fairway protected by a large pond near the tee. The back nine introduces significant elevation changes and natural obstacles. The 12th hole is a 520-yard par-5 that requires a carry over a valley, with a large zelkova tree marking the left side of the fairway. The 13th hole is a downhill par-3 with a view from a nearby tea house, flanked by a bunker line and a valley on the right. The course is lined with cedar and zelkova trees, particularly on the shorter par-4s like the 11th and 14th, which are noted as suitable for driving contests. The club features a clubhouse with a lobby decorated with paintings and antique clocks, a restaurant, a competition room, and bathing facilities. The course is designed to accommodate various skill levels, with specific holes recommended for driving or nearest-pin contests, such as the 5th hole for distance and the 6th and 13th holes for accuracy.
