Yongpyong Nine GC is a 9-hole, par 36 public golf course spanning 5,146 yards, designed by renowned course architect Ronald Fream, who also designed the adjacent Birch Hill Country Club. Located within the Yongpyong Resort in Pyeongchang, the course is situated along a scenic lake adjacent to the resort's water park, featuring picturesque views of forested valleys and clear water.

The course was established in 1985 as a practice facility and later developed into a full 9-hole layout. It utilizes dual turfgrass species—Kentucky bluegrass and bent grass—making it Korea's first course constructed with both grass types. The design cleverly employs two greens per hole, allowing golfers to experience 18 holes of play in two rounds.

Yongpyong Nine presents significant difficulty despite its public status. The mountainous terrain of Yongpyong creates substantial undulations and slopes throughout. Hazards include parallel water features following the valleys and an artificial lake, while narrow fairways demand concentration and precision. The course is renowned for challenging golfers at all levels, famously played by professional golfer Park Se-ri during practice rounds.

The setting offers exceptional seasonal beauty, with pink flowering grasses in spring and vibrant autumn foliage, attracting non-golfers from the resort to view the landscape.
