Yongpyong CC

Yongpyong Country Club is an 18-hole championship course with a par of 72, spanning 6,800 yards across two nine-hole layouts: Sanmaru and Gangnareu. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course is situated at approximately 700 meters elevation in the Yongpyong Resort area of Pyeongchang, surrounded by mountains and a pristine alpine lake.

The course features Kentucky bluegrass and bentgrass throughout. With a total elevation change of 70 meters, it offers relatively stable topography while maintaining subtle variations that challenge golfers. Each hole is individually characterized, providing distinct views of the surrounding mountains and lake across the layout.

The design philosophy emphasizes respect for the natural landscape while maintaining international-standard playability. Notable holes include multiple par-5s and par-3s strategically positioned to showcase the scenic mountain and water features. The course is known for delivering both competitive play and aesthetic enjoyment within a pristine natural setting at high altitude.
