Fredericksburg Country Club was established as a 9-hole course designed by James Gilmore Harrison in 1927, expanding into an 18-hole golf course with the addition of the back nine in 1962 under the expertise of Carl Rasnic, PGA. In 2002, the course underwent a strategic redesign of its greens, further enhancing its appeal. The golf course has 18 holes and its total par is 72. Strategically situated between Richmond and Washington, D.C., the club offers convenient access, being merely a 10-minute drive east of Interstate 95.
Renowned for its consistently exceptional condition, the course boasts a design that promotes an engaging and seamless progression from one hole to the next, facilitating an enjoyable walking experience. The Fredericksburg Country Club is built on the former site of several important Civil War battles. The original charm of the 1819 mansion clubhouse has been preserved, with its historic setting, architecture, grounds, and landscaping among the finest in Virginia.
The club features a host of first-class amenities including a championship 18-hole golf course, extensive golf practice facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, and a selection of racquet sports such as tennis and pickleball. The Fredericksburg Country Club provides a wide range of events and activities for golfers of all ages and skill levels, with its golf calendar featuring many different types of events including Club Championships, Member-Guest, Member-Member, President's Cup, Couples' Championship, and Nine & Dine.
