Fredensborg Golf Club is an 18-hole course designed by Rolf Henning-Jensen and inaugurated on September 12, 1992. Located in North Zealand, the course is situated in a picturesque natural setting between castle grounds, forest, and lakes. The layout comprises five par 5s, five par 3s, and eight par 4s, with five tee options (58, 55, 52, 49, and 36) plus junior tees (18 and 27) added in 2025.
The gently undulating course is characterized by natural water features, including lakes and streams that wind through multiple holes, providing both scenic beauty and strategic challenges. The terrain is well-suited for both walking and buggy play. Daily maintenance includes robot-assisted mowing of fairways and first cuts, managed by head greenkeeper Per Christensen and his team.
The club maintains high environmental standards, having received Fredensborg-Humlebæk Municipality's Environmental Prize in 2000 and remaining among Denmark's leading clubs for ecological management. Notable honorary members include Danish royalty and professional golfers Iben Tinning, Anders Hansen, Søren Kjeldsen, and Jeff Winther.
