Located in Pawleys Island, South Carolina—America's oldest seaside resort—Founders Club at Pawleys Island is an 18-hole, Par 72 championship course designed by Thomas Walker, former lead designer for Gary Player. Built atop Gene Hamm's original course from the former Sea Gull Golf Club (dating to 1966), the redesigned layout features a distinctive "ocean-style" design with natural beach sand in waste areas and native grasses including love grass and bluestem populating mounds.

The course is characterized by strategic play opportunities across five tees, accommodating both relaxed rounds and competitive challenges. Wetlands, live oaks, and pines enhance the landscape, while minimized cart paths create a unique coastal-feel experience suitable for senior golfers. The signature 9th hole immediately impresses visitors upon entry to the club.

Notable amenities include an 11,000-square-foot putting facility and dedicated chipping area simulating waste hazard shots. The 5,000-square-foot Lowcountry-style clubhouse features a wrap-around porch overlooking the 10th and 18th holes, housing an upscale Grill Room and Pro Shop.

The course earned Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year in 2011 and was recognized as one of the 30 Best Courses You Can Play in South Carolina in both 2009 and 2011.
