Forest Akers West Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout located on Michigan State University's campus in Lansing, Michigan. The course was extensively redesigned by renowned architect Arthur Hills in 1992. It features multiple tee options with course ratings ranging from 65.5/114 to 81.9/154, accommodating golfers of varying skill levels.
The West Course serves as the home course for Michigan State's Big Ten men's and women's golf teams and has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the 2019 and 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regionals and the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championship. The course has earned significant recognition, including being named the #3 Best College Course by GolfPass in 2024 and receiving multiple "Best Campus Courses" awards from GolfWeek Magazine (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022).
