Flamingos Golf is an 18-hole championship course designed by Antonio García and opened in 2001, located in Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Playing to par 71 with a length of 5,714 metres, the course features undulating greens and commanding Mediterranean views throughout the layout.
The course has hosted prestigious professional tournaments, including the European Senior Tour in 2002, 2003, and 2004, as well as the Ladies European Tour in 2010, establishing it as a premier destination on the Costa del Sol. The design accommodates players of all abilities, with handicap limits of 28 for men and 36 for women.
Key characteristics include strategic water hazards, particularly evident on the opening hole where a lake frames the tees and protects the green, and numerous bunkers positioned throughout the fairways. The course features a mix of par 3s, 4s, and 5s distributed across the front and back nines, with several long par 3s presenting significant challenges. The undulating terrain and Mediterranean setting create an elegant yet demanding playing experience, with rounds typically taking approximately 4.5 hours.
