Alferini Golf is an 18-hole championship course designed by Cristóbal Guerrero and opened in 2007, located in Marbella within the Villa Padierna resort. The course stretches 6,648 meters with a par of 73, making it the most challenging of the three courses at Villa Padierna. The layout integrates diverse natural features and hazards throughout, set within peaceful, scenic surroundings.
The course caters primarily to skilled players, particularly professionals and accomplished amateurs, with a handicap limit of 24 for men and 32 for women. Rounds typically take approximately five hours, with buggy use recommended for most players. Tee times are scheduled at 15-minute intervals.
Notable achievements include hosting the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España in 2022 on the Ladies European Tour and receiving a nomination for Spain's Best Golf Course Award in 2021 by the World Golf Awards. The course presents significant challenges from the opening hole, featuring strategic water hazards, doglegs, and undulating terrain that demand precision and course management skills from golfers of all abilities.
