Ferndown Golf Club

Ferndown Golf Club is a prestigious 27-hole heathland course established in 1913, located in Ferndown in the South West. The club features two courses: the renowned Old Course and the Alliss Course, both characterized by gently undulating terrain that is easily walked and exceptionally maintained.

Set in a tranquil heathland landscape, the courses offer subtle hazards and beautifully positioned bunkers within naturally scenic surroundings. The Old Course was ranked 1st for playability in Golf World's Top 100 English Courses Guide (2019/2020), combining challenge with accessibility for players of all abilities.

Ferndown has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments including the European Ladies' Championship, Women's British Open, British Boys' Championship, and English Amateur Stroke Play. The course has welcomed golfing legends including Nick Faldo, Tony Jacklin, Bernhard Langer, Sandy Lyle, and Greg Norman. Currently ranked 88th in Golf Monthly's UK & Ireland Top 100 (2024/2025) and among the top 3% of courses worldwide by Rolex, Ferndown is renowned for immaculate presentation and has been favorably compared to Augusta National, reflecting the quality and consistency throughout.
