EagleSticks Golf Club opened in 1990 and was designed by renowned architect Dr. Michael Hurdzan. The course is nestled across 150 acres of rolling farmland and pristine woodlands in the heart of Ohio. The 18-hole course features a par of 35-35-70 with a yardage of 6,028 yards. The design features rolling fairways, undulating greens, and constant elevation changes through pristine oak, maple, ash, locust, walnut, and cherry trees. EagleSticks clearly favors accuracy over power, with frequent elevation changes and position-focused approaches.
The course combines country charm with championship-quality golf, featuring cascading waterfalls, tree-lined fairways, and dramatic elevation changes. There are 90 bunkers strategically situated along the fairways and greens. The par-5 11th is the signature hole, starting with a daunting downhill plunge with a creek that splits the fairway and a stream that runs alongside the left approaching the green. Plush bentgrass fairways and greens are protected by a thoughtful bunker scheme, and multiple teeing areas and larger greens make the course playable for every skill level.
Golf Digest named EagleSticks 2nd Runner-Up for Best New Course in America in 1991, and later honored it as one of America's Top 100 Public Courses in 2004. The course was also named the top ranked public golf course in 1993 by Golf Digest.
