Crystal Springs Golf Club is an 18-hole public golf course located in Hopewell, Ohio, near Columbus and Zanesville, designed by Ron Cutlip and opened in 1998. The course measures 6,412 yards with a par of 71, has a course rating of 68.4, and a slope rating of 121. The course features a links-style championship layout winding across the hills of Western Muskingum County.
The undulating terrain across the rolling hills provides gently sloped greens and elevated tees with scenic views of the surrounding countryside. Six ponds come into play on half of the holes, with nearly 40 strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course. The course features bent grass tees, greens, and fairways with elevated tees and gently sloping greens in a tranquil setting.
The signature hole is the par-4 ninth, which features water along the right side of the fairway and green, out-of-bounds stakes along the left, and a large sand bunker behind the green. The links-style layout appeals to a variety of skill levels, with ample greens varying in shape and player-friendly fairways offering generous landing areas.
