Dyrham Park Country Club is a country house, estate and golf club in Hertfordshire, England, near Dancers Hill, several miles northeast of Borehamwood, and to the north of Barnet. It is a white Palladian mansion, set in two hundred acres, with an 18-hole golf course. The course is an 18 hole, par 72 (6497 yard), parkland golf course designed by C.K. Cotton. The golf course was established in 1963. Accuracy rather than sheer length is required, with players tested while negotiating four holes that measure in excess of 400 yards.
The aquatic hazard at hole 13 starts a sequence of three further water holes, which are considered to be Hertfordshire's answer to Augusta's Amen Corner. "The Loop", as it is known locally, is the original watery stretch of holes from 14 to 16, situated at the eastern extremity of the property. The back tee at the 14th stretches to more than 200 yards, with golfers peering through a narrow chute of trees, across a lily pond to a small green ringed with bunkers.
In its history it has hosted numerous championships, including the 1974 JNF pro-am golf tournament, featuring 136 golfers. The championship course offers a captivating challenge for golfers of all skill levels, with tree-lined fairways, undulating greens, and strategic water hazards.
