Down Royal Golf Club

Down Royal Park Golf Course is located 11 miles south of Belfast in Northern Ireland, positioned within the Down Royal Racecourse and bounded by the River Lagan to the north. The facility comprises an 18-hole Classic Course, a 9-hole Valley Course, and a driving range.

The course is built on sandy soils with a high water table, creating excellent drainage and making it playable year-round—it's recognized as one of Northern Ireland's driest courses. It features a natural heathland layout with strategic hazards, well-groomed fairways, and distinctive gorse and bracken lining the holes. The combination of water features and open fairways creates a challenging but authentic golfing experience.

The setting is unique, with the sounds of galloping racehorse activity adding character to the natural landscape. The course is open to the public seven days a week with competitive green fees for visitors and societies. Down Royal Park also offers coaching through its academy for both junior and adult golfers, complemented by its recently expanded driving range facilities.
