Renegade Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 layout designed by Jack Nicklaus that opened in 1987 as the first of six signature courses at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona. The course stretches to 7,933 yards from the longest tees and can be played anywhere from 4,400 to 7,900 yards depending on selected tee boxes.

The defining characteristic is its innovative dual-pin design featuring two pin placements on every hole, with six connected double greens and twelve holes featuring separated greens up to 100 yards apart. This provides 14 different play combinations per hole, allowing golfers to customize their experience across varying skill levels.

Designed with year-round playability using cool-season grasses, Renegade presents multiple risk-reward options including strategically placed bunkers in fairway centers on holes 2, 9, 13, and 17. Signature holes include 4, 9, 12, and 17. The course has been recognized in Golf Digest's Top 25 Arizona Courses, Top 100 Residential Courses by Golfweek, and ranked among America's 100 Greatest Courses. The recently renovated clubhouse includes extensive practice facilities and the Jim Flick Golf Performance Center.
