Outlaw Golf Course at Desert Mountain is an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout designed by Jack Nicklaus across 176 acres adjacent to the Tonto National Forest in Scottsdale, Arizona. The course features a traditional Scottish links-style design that emphasizes natural desert aesthetics with minimal residential development along the greens, allowing for authentic walkable play.

The course spans 7,107 yards and incorporates the dramatic Arizona landscape, offering clear views of Pinnacle Peak, the McDowell Mountains, and Four Peaks. The layout includes 126 bunkers and greens ranging from 5,000 to 14,000 square feet, strategically positioned to reward placement and controlled distance off the tee.

The primary challenge at Outlaw is navigating variable desert winds and the premium placed on positioning relative to hole locations. Signature holes include #4, #10, #14, and #18. Hole #10 features a blind landing area with a deep collection zone, while #14 presents a massive green with a central depression. The course has earned recognition as a Top 100 Residential Course by Golfweek and was included in Golf Digest's 50 Toughest Courses and Top 50 Best New Courses lists.
