Dartford Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland/heathland course established in 1897, located near Dartford, Bexley, Wilmington, and Swanley. Redesigned by five-time Open Champion James Braid in 1936, the course features a par 69 layout measuring approximately 5,909 yards from the white tees. The gently undulating terrain is characterized by tree-lined fairways and relatively small greens that emphasize accuracy and course management over distance. The 16th hole, a long par 3 to an elevated green, ranks among Kent's tougher short holes. The course presents a well-balanced challenge for various abilities through strategic doglegs and hazards. Situated conveniently near the A2 and M25, the club blends a tranquil setting with accessibility from London. The modernized 2007 clubhouse includes a restaurant, lounge, bar, and veranda overlooking the 18th green. While primarily members-only, visitors are welcomed on select days with advance arrangements and appropriate handicap documentation.
