Cupar Golf Club is located at Hilltarvit on the south side of Cupar, ten miles west of St Andrews in Scotland. Founded on November 7, 1855, the club is historically significant as probably the oldest nine-hole golf course in the world. The nine-hole layout is designed to entertain players of all abilities, offering a course that welcomes both members and non-members.

The club maintains excellent condition greens throughout the year, including winter months when full greens remain in use without requiring fairway mats. This consistent maintenance is a notable feature that distinguishes Cupar from many comparable local courses. The course is known for being accessible to golfers of varying skill levels while maintaining competitive playing standards.

Cupar Golf Club has a strong community focus, including a growing junior section that provides a friendly and welcoming environment for young golfers. The club hosts various events throughout the year, including open competitions and social occasions. Membership is accessible with no joining fees or waiting list, and visitor play is actively encouraged with competitive pricing.
