Cummings Cove Golf and Country Club is an 18-hole, par 71 championship course located in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Hendersonville, North Carolina. The course features a 6,415-yard layout with 18 distinctly different holes and earned a "Best Renovation of the Year" award in 2006.
The course showcases classic mountain golf characteristics, including elevated tees, tree-lined fairways, lakes, streams, and waterfalls set against 50-mile vistas of the surrounding landscape. The back nine is particularly notable for three unique par 3 holes, one of which appears to hang from a cliff edge. Like Baltusrol, home of the PGA Championship, the course concludes with back-to-back par 5 holes.
Cummings Cove presents a challenging yet playable design that integrates natural mountain terrain throughout. The course caters to both members and outside players, with amenities including ice and water stations at the 6th, 10th, and 15th holes. The setting combines demanding golf with the scenic beauty characteristic of mountain courses in the region.
