Cumberland Golf Club was founded in the summer of 1961 and was designed by James Harrison, located in the Cumberland Valley of south central Pennsylvania. The 18-hole, par-72 course stretches over 6,900 yards of beautifully maintained terrain, offering a blend of challenge and charm for golfers of all skill levels. The club offers four teeing areas from 5,800 to 6,900 yards. The course is situated on 150 acres of rolling farmland that dates back to the late 1700s. The large brick home on the property was formerly a toll stop and tavern known as the Black Horse Tavern, which offered room and board for settlers moving between Shippensburg and Carlisle, with visitors including soldiers from both sides during the Civil War. The course was purchased by Donn Mowery in 1969, and his sons manage the club. In 2001, a 4,000 square foot clubhouse and restaurant were added to the facility.
