Located in the mountainous area of Mino, Gifu Prefecture, Crown Country Club is a 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Nippon Dokusoku Dozei and opened in August 1989. The facility is set on gentle hills, featuring a brick clubhouse that stands out against the natural landscape. The course layout is characterized by wide fairways that allow for powerful shots, yet it demands strategic play through the careful placement of hazards. Water hazards and bunkers are distributed throughout the 18 holes, requiring golfers to make precise decisions on every shot. The course offers two distinct sets of tees, the West and East courses, which provide different yardages and challenges. The West Course, with a regular par 72, features a back tee length of 3,276 yards and a front tee of 2,951 yards. The East Course also plays to a par 72, with a back tee length of 3,470 yards and a front tee of 3,111 yards. The combination of the two courses allows for varied yardage options, with the total course length reaching 6,746 yards from the back tees. A defining feature of Crown Country Club is the use of center carts, which travel along the center of the fairways, enhancing the comfort and speed of play. The course is known for its scenic beauty, particularly during the spring when approximately 10,000 cherry trees bloom along the fairways. The terrain offers expansive views, and the design ensures that each hole has a unique character, balancing openness with the tension of strategic golf. Key holes include the par-5 8th on the West Course, a long hole where a river runs along the left side of the fairway and serves as an out-of-bounds hazard. On the East Course, the par-3 7th hole presents a significant downhill shot from the back tees, with a water hazard in front of the green that is out of bounds. The 1st hole on the East Course is a long par-4 that requires careful placement to avoid out-of-bounds areas on the left. These features highlight the course's emphasis on accuracy and course management.
