The Country Club of York features an 18-hole course with 6,610 yards from the longest tees, playing to a par of 72. Designed by Donald J. Ross, the course opened in 1899. Located in the rolling hills of southern York County, the course offers views of surrounding farmlands to the south and overlooks the City of York to the north. The course rating is 72.3 with a slope rating of 132.

The course follows a Donald Ross design along terrain offering views of the surrounding countryside, with hilly terrain providing defense and nearly 60 deep-faced bunkers dotting the fairways and green-sides. Greens vary in size from very small to very large with mild to severe undulations. The longest hole is hole 2, a 526-yard par-5, while the shortest is hole 6, a 152-yard par-3.

The Country Club of York celebrated its centenary in 1999 by hosting the 52nd edition of the US Junior Amateur Championship. The course has hosted numerous National, State and Regional Championships. Established in 1899, the club is recognized as a leading private facility in the community.
