Bridgewater opened for play in July of 1999 and was designed by Thomas E. Clark and Dan Schlegel. The course is a par 36 with two par 3's, five par 4's, and two par 5's, featuring five sets of tees that range in yardage from 7,272 to 5,107. Located in York, Pennsylvania, the course is situated in an area with distinct characteristics across its two nines.
The front nine was designed with water coming into play on eight of the nine holes, from the first hole that requires players to cross a meandering creek twice, to the ninth hole featuring another creek and two large ponds. Water comes into play on seven of the back nine holes, with the tenth hole being the longest and most difficult on the course, marked by large, mature trees lining the left side. While designed as a fun course for all skill levels, it offers experienced golfers a tough test from the back tees.
