The 18-hole Myrtle Creek Golf Club (previously known as Cougar Canyon Golf Course) is a public golf course that opened in 1997. Designed by Graham Cooke and Wayne Carleton, it measures 6754 yards. Located about 20 miles south of Roseburg in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, the course is tucked between forested hills and farmland. The intriguing design features the first nine holes defined by elevation changes and the second nine defined by doglegs, with both sides having blind shots. The number 1 handicap hole is the par-4 seventh, which has a narrow landing area in front of the green, making long approach shots risky.

The layout routes a classic links design across undulating countryside with spectacular views, and golfers won't encounter many flat lies with elevations on the greens being especially tricky to navigate. A creek runs through the course, creating a pastoral setting. The first nine holes opened in 1997 and the second nine in 1998, originally built by the City of Myrtle Creek.
