Cottonwood Golf Course

Cottonwood Golf Course is an 18-hole facility located in Nanaimo, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. The course was developed in two phases, with the first nine holes completed in 1995 and the second nine opened in 1998. Built and operated by the Kaese Family, it was designed to serve golfers of all skill levels.

The course features fairways composed of 85% rye grass, 10% bluegrass, and 5% fescue, with bent grass greens maintained at approximately 10 on the stimp meter during summer months. The layout provides excellent playing conditions year-round, benefiting from Nanaimo's favorable climate.

Cottonwood has established a reputation for well-maintained greens and playable design across all ability levels. The facility offers affordable golf rates and maintains consistent quality throughout the seasons. Beyond the course itself, Cottonwood operates the Cotton Club Restaurant and hosts tournaments, weddings, and banquets. The property also includes a golf shop stocked with major brands including Callaway, Titleist, and FootJoy.
