Connemara Golf Links is an isolated links course located west of Clifden in County Galway, Ireland, designed by renowned architect Eddie Hackett. The course celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023. It features 18 holes plus an additional 9-hole course added in 2000, providing versatility for golfers of all skill levels. The championship course opens with a testing dogleg hole and progresses through a challenging back nine.
The dramatic setting encompasses views of Slyne Head Lighthouse, the Twelve Bens Mountains, the Atlantic Ocean, white sandy beaches, and Grainne O'Malley's Castle. The terrain traverses Derrigimla Bog and the Mannin Bay Blueway area. The course presents a genuine test for all standards of play, with each hole offering distinctive character shaped by the surrounding landscape.
Facilities include a clubhouse with bar and restaurant offering panoramic views, a pro shop stocked with rental clubs and apparel, a practice range, and putting green. The course was voted Best Links Course in Connaught in 2023 by Golfers Guide to Ireland and is recognized as Galway's highest-ranked and only links course.
