Colts Neck Golf Club, nestled in Monmouth County, New Jersey, is a links-style course designed by the renowned firm Cornish, Silva, & Mungeam. The course opened in 2000. The 18-hole layout features 6,236 yards of golf for a par of 71, with a course rating of 70 and a slope rating of 126. Its expansive bentgrass greens are highlighted by rolling contours and framed by Scottish-inspired bunkers, set against the backdrop of glistening lakes and golden fescue rough. The front nine gently winds through rolling terrain, while the back nine takes you into a wooded glen, where towering trees create a thrilling challenge.
The course is seemingly short at only 6,236 yards but it shouldn't be taken lightly—it's much more challenging than it appears. The layout finishes with two of its toughest holes. The 17th has a tough green fiercely guarded by out-of-bounds and the course saved the most difficult hole for last, a par 3 that will test even the most seasoned golfers. The course was built on an old farm and designed by Geoffrey Cornish, Brian Silva and Mark Mungeam, with the silo near the clubhouse and some other farm features remaining.
