Chirihama Country Club Course Department

Chirihama Country Club is an 18-hole championship course with a par 72 layout measuring 6,736 yards from the back tees. Designed by Sadakichi Mano and opened in August 1971, the course features Korai grass greens. Despite its seaside flat terrain location, the course maintains subtle undulations throughout.

The layout presents moderate difficulty with strategic bunkering and hazards. Notable characteristics include several challenging par 5s (holes 5, 7, and 18) that reward powerful drives, while par 3s test accuracy with surrounding bunkers and water hazards. Hole 16 features a notable pond hazard fronting the green. The course incorporates natural obstacles including out-of-bounds markers, steep slopes, and pine trees that frame fairways and create visual and strategic challenges.

Hole 14 ranks as the most difficult (handicap 2), while hole 2 is the easiest (handicap 1). The finishing hole 18 is an uphill par 5 of 559 yards. The course offers multiple tee positions to accommodate varying skill levels, with ladies' tees providing significantly shorter yardages for accessibility.
