Changhua Golf Course ☆ Follow

The Changhua Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout located at the border of Changhua City and Huatan Township in Taiwan. Designed by club designer Chang Tung-tsan, the course is situated on the rolling hills at the foot of Bagua Mountain, with an elevation of 150 meters. The facility was initiated by a group of golf enthusiasts in 1978 as a shareholder-owned club, with the front nine holes opening in April 1981 and the back nine completing in late 1984, leading to the official opening of the full course in February 1985. The terrain is characterized by undulating hills and a warm, dry climate that remains mild throughout the year. The setting offers expansive views, with the front of the course overlooking the famous Bagua Mountain Grand Buddha statue to the north. To the northwest, players can see the cityscape of Changhua, and on clear days, the Taiwan Strait is visible to the west. The course is designed to integrate these natural landscape features, providing a scenic backdrop for play. The design by Chang Tung-tsan aims to provide a rigorous test for golfers while maintaining the aesthetic harmony with the surrounding environment. The club maintains a reputation as a premier outdoor activity venue for golf enthusiasts in the region, hosting regular shareholder meetings and seasonal operational updates.
