Cedarhurst Golf Club is a nine-hole public course located in Beaverton, Ontario, set within a landscape of rolling fairways and mature cedar trees. The layout originated as a three-hole course in 1922 before being expanded to a nine-hole design by Stanley Thompson in 1926. Bert Turcotte later added the back nine in 1964, creating a 6,000-yard course that plays to a par of 70.

The front nine, attributed to Thompson, features narrow, rolling fairways and small greens that demand accurate tee shots and pinpoint approaches. The course presents a distinct challenge, particularly on the front nine, which is noted for having one of the best collections of par 3s in Ontario. The third hole stands out as a 243-yard par 3 requiring a precise tee shot to a small, postage stamp-sized green. While the front nine is demanding, the back nine offers longer holes with more forgiving fairways, larger greens, and water features that add variety to the test.

Difficulty is moderated by the availability of multiple tee boxes, including Blue, White, and Yellow tees, as well as "Play It Forward" tees designed to reduce the impact of hazards and shorten the course for those seeking relief. The slope rating is listed at 126 for men and 139 for women, indicating a layout that yields few low scores for average players. The club also maintains a full-length driving range, a member-exclusive practice area, and chipping and putting greens to support skill development.

The course is a proud member of the Stanley Thompson Society and Golf Canada, reflecting its historical significance in the region. The facility includes the Albatross Restaurant and an expansive deck overlooking the first and ninth holes, providing a setting for play and post-round dining.
