Wakasa Country Club is located in Shindou 9-3, Wakasa Town, Mikataikouchi District, Fukui Prefecture. The facility features a 27-hole layout divided into three distinct nine-hole courses: the Suigetsu Lake Course, the Hyuga Lake Course, and the Suga Lake Course. Each nine-hole loop plays to par 36, making the full course par 108. The Suga Lake Course was designed under the supervision of professional golfer Hideyo Sugimoto. The courses are characterized by a hilly landscape with gentle undulations, offering a mix of tee shots that range from downhill to uphill and from straight to dogleg.

The Suigetsu Lake Course begins with a generous par-4 that plays slightly downhill, while the second hole presents a short par-4 with a slight left dogleg. The eighth hole on this loop, rated as the most difficult at handicap 1, is a mid-length uphill par-4 where missing left or behind leaves an approach that must be played from well below the green. The ninth hole plays over water to a narrow green, demanding careful club selection.

The Hyuga Lake Course features a straight downhill par-4 to start, followed by a short par-4 with a slight left dogleg. The fifth hole is a demanding par-5 with water guarding the green, rewarding both distance and accuracy for those who can reach in two. The eighth hole plays straight downhill over a long distance to a two-tiered green, while the closing ninth is a short par-3 over water with lateral hazards on the right side, where wind conditions between tee and green can differ significantly.

The Suga Lake Course opens with a challenging uphill par-5 where the right side is out of bounds and a creek runs below the left fairway. The second hole is an uphill par-4 with out of bounds to the right, requiring careful positioning off the tee. The fifth hole plays to a green that is higher in the back, with a notable mound on the left rear. Across all three courses, the layout incorporates water hazards, out-of-bounds areas, and multi-tiered greens that test distance control and course management.
