Located in Hiroshima Prefecture at an elevation of 630 meters, Onomichi Country Club’s Uneyama Course is a 18-hole layout designed by Katsuki Takizawa. The course is situated in Sera Town and is characterized by significant elevation changes, featuring a mix of downhill and uphill holes that challenge players' distance control and accuracy. The design is noted for its difficulty, with the designer’s reputation suggesting a challenging test of golf. The front nine totals 36 par, while the back nine also comprises 36 par, making it a 72-par course. The regular tees offer a total yardage of 6,082 yards, with the back nine stretching 3,041 yards and the front nine 3,041 yards. The course includes varied hole types, from the long 532-yard first hole to the short 159-yard seventh hole. Key challenges include the fourth hole, a 338-yard par 4 where a creek cuts diagonally across the landing area, demanding precise shots to avoid traps. The ninth hole is a 399-yard par 4 that requires a tee shot over a valley, with narrow landing areas penalizing errant drives. The back nine features the eleventh hole, a 150-yard par 3 over a pond, and the twelfth, a 326-yard par 4 with a creek guarding the front of the green. The course layout includes several uphill holes, such as the thirteenth and fifteenth, which test players' ability to manage club selection on steep approaches. The seventeenth hole, a 528-yard par 5, is a dogleg right with out-of-bounds on the right side, requiring careful navigation. The eighteenth hole is a 357-yard par 4 that finishes with a downhill approach to a green with significant slope, demanding a careful finish to avoid trouble on the left side.
