Campo Municipal La Llorea

Campo Municipal La Llorea is an 18-hole championship golf course located on an elevated coastal plateau approximately 100 meters above sea level near Gijón, Spain. It was the first municipally-owned and managed 18-hole regulation golf course in Spain. The course features six different routing options, making it playable and accessible for golfers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.

The course is situated in a scenic coastal setting with the sea in close proximity, providing distinctive landscape characteristics. Its flexible routing system allows players to adjust difficulty and challenge based on their experience and preferences, contributing to its appeal across diverse player categories.

La Llorea serves as a major hub for golf activity in Gijón, hosting an extensive competition calendar primarily from April to October, including individual and paired competitions. The course also functions as the primary facility for the Municipal Golf School, offering instruction to children over six years old and hosting annual sports camps during summer months that have operated for over 30 years. Professional coaching services are available through contracted instructors.
